This is a classic canoe that fulfils the needs of many aspiring paddler. . Best paddled on canals, lakes, sheltered water and slow moving rivers. Add a couple of air bags then take the canoe onto faster moving water with some white water thrown in for good measure. The hull shape simply works well when paddled solo or tandem. To get the most out of this hull the paddlers will be those who don't mind getting wet at times and have an improving skill level. The Old Town 158 is tough and long lived.
